Life Dreams

Great People Start Before They Feel Ready

Taking the first step is by far the most difficult thing to do in achieving any dream. There are a lot of mental, physical, psychological, spiritual , everything obstacles that make it difficult to take that first step. You should not wait until the situation is perfect because the situation will never be perfect. As Chahal says; If we need something badly we should teach ourselves to be impatient. A story is told of a sixteen-year-old boy who dropped out of school in 1966. With the help of a friend, he started a magazine for students and made money by selling advertisements to local businesses. Four years later, he was looking for ways to grow his small magazine and started selling mail order records to the students who bought the magazine. The records sold well enough that he built his first record store the next year. After two years of selling records, he decided to open his own record label and recording studio. Over the next decade, the young boy grew his entrepreneurial muscle. Along the way, he continued starting companies: an airline business, then trains, then mobile phones, and on and on. Almost 50 years later, there are over 400

You are stronger than You realize

Life, just short like that in pronunciation. I wish it was that simple in reality. Life seems to be more complex than the word itself. Life throws some crazy things our way and we have to deal with them. E.g. No one expected us to be in a global lock down with panic and less predictions of what the future looks like. Many things more than the #COVID19 Pandemic happen every day; sickness, relationship loss, unemployment, job loss, name it. You may have had bigger or smaller challenges or haven’t got any but the fact is crazy things happen in life. One of the things i have stayed with at heart as i share in my book, The Champions Mojo, is that when you train yourself to not just think about the future bleak and hardships at hand but also celebrate where you were two years or few time ago before the crisis at hand , that’s when you’re able to create happiness in the now. You realize you are stronger than you are to overcome and transcend every situation. I am not a fun of movies so much but one of my favorite movies is the “Hunger Games” ,

By far, the biggest struggle every creative and artist goes through is dealing with the Impostor syndrome. You will not understand this if you never put something up that made people to marvel. Like your friends or colleagues are going to discover you’re a fraud, and you don’t actually deserve all you have made and accomplishments? These feelings are known as impostor syndrome. An estimated 90% of creatives and extraordinaire experience these impostor feelings at some point in their lives and work, Impostor syndrome affects all kinds of creatives and blaze trailers. The Champion’s Mojo – Book

The Champion’s Mojo (Pictured above) was a book that i wrote from pure flow. When I was writing the book, I got the urge to interview dozens of successful authors, creatives, and entrepreneurs and what i found was that they all had two things in common; Unwavering Persistence and grit When it came to releasing a song, starting a business, getting a job, living happily, writing a book, finishing biggest projects, or getting most important work done in life, they stuck to it with unwavering persistence and grit. They hack and learn to overcome procrastination, distractions, problems, roadblocks, and obstacles of all kinds. They figure out how to get it done — no matter what. They also focus on what’s important NOW! High level Champions focus much on Right now today. What are you going to do today to get better? What is your goal for today? Do you see a pattern developing here? They realize that throughout each day there are going to be distractions, fish hooks that rip you out of the water while you are searching for your goals. When you get side tracked, get off the wrong exit on your way to work, they realize that you must get

On Action taking

A few years ago I was at the height of my own life, business & consulting career revolution and luckily trotted three countries (United Arab Emirates, Zanzibar/Tz, Uganda ) and talked to people all about the various aspects of business and life — drawing from my experiences and expertise. I spoke to many people in form of coaching, seminar presentations, speeches, master mind discussions and so much more. I did everything i could in the personal and business development space. I learnt, taught, unlearnt and grew. When i did a business or life talk drawing from my experience it all felt like i was evaporating content that made everyone gaze in ignition. And as I learned more about what everyone was going through, I noticed that there was still something missing in most businesses, mine inclusive. We listened more than we did. Don’t get me wrong, the knowledge i share(d) is important and revolutionizing. But what I came to realize was that it wasn’t the whole picture. There are some things that we can’t get to, simply by talking about them, reading books about them or watching webinars or speakers talk about them. There needs to be a deeper hunger

Fight Your Own Battle First!

Well have battles, Right? Yes, we all do. Everyone’s life is filled with chaos, conflict and confusion and battles. It’s just how it is. We learn to deal with it as we grow. Show me someone who’s never had any serious battles in their life, I’ll show you the most boring person in the world… someone who’s never dared to live for anything worthy. In a nutshell we are all battle fighters, but the difference is on which battles are you fighting. Some people make it business to fight battles that never belong to them. Don’t be like them. Don’t waste your emotion and intellect fighting for someone else’s highly-emotional, semi-logical ego battles. Whether it’s business or politics or religion (or family-friends un-ending battles). There are endless battles that present themselves and you are enlisted, recruited and pressured by friends, colleagues, and peers to join & get involved. Some of these battles are not necessarily worth joining . Its good to make a stand, to create change as long as you don’t might end up putting your own dreams and ambitions on hold. See, you can’t fight two battles at the same time (at least not for long). You can’t

Is Social Media Marketing Effective for Small Businesses?

Many people ask me; “Nich, Do your social media/internet engagements bring in revenues, you seem to have them as a marketing channel for all your associates?”. First things first, it works on a long term perspective. You don’t need to be too logical and needy, else you get frustrated. Secondly, you must understand the surge and waves direction of target audience. Yes, it works. In 2017. we fired all our marketers and we regret little. So, today morning while interacting with a client and friend, she said that it would be fun to be a social media manager for her restaurant/cafe business she is setting up. All that a social media manager has to do it browse social media all day and share about their business while lazying behind the computer/phone screen – She thinks. I wish it was true, but it is Not. You see there is much more than meets the eye, there is content creation (needs strategy), curation and scheduling, there is understanding of your audience consumer behaviors, there is consistency (many fail at this), etc. There is much more to do than what people think. But, the rewards are worth the efforts when doing the right thing. In

No crying in Business

In the “A League of their own” movie, one actor named Tom (not sure of name), makes a shout out phrase; there’s no crying in baseball!” To me it sounds like; “there’s no crying in business.” Owning and running a business can be hard, and sometimes it’s so hard that it makes you want to cry, lament or somehow break off. The most frustrating parts of running a business is trying to build a customer base, them a team of high performing employees who can be relied on, and who will help you grow your business with enthusiasm and skill. Then comes issues of compliance (tax, legal structures, licencing, etc) and cashflow balancing. Always tough. These issues can be frustrating that you want to cry, or worse, to give up. I know, i’ve been there several times trying to scale up my three startups. Most of the time, you realise that the environment have got some few gaps to fill but as a person you have ran out of fuel , you feel you can’t push more. You have lost a mojo. That appeal and spark to push more on the terrain. One thing that I have stayed with, is understanding
